Many people , including volunteers critical to this event are changing plans with forecast for bad weather New Year’s Eve and New Years day morning. We have therefore rescheduled this for the following Saturday with NO CONFLICT with other races that we know of in the area.  Safety of runners, volunteers and children is our number one priority.  Thank you for your cooperation and understanding and we hope you will celebrate 2010 with us on the 9th!  Happy, Healthy  New Year— please be careful driving home!!!

We will be donating to the following organizations:   Culpeper Literacy Council, The Culpeper Food Closet, and a Community Center project in neighboring Bealeton.    We’d also  like to make a contribution to Youth With A Mission (YWAM), and Coffee Kids, a non profit organization helping coffee  communities  in  Latin America improve their quality of life.   Let’s make this a win-win situation for all. You get to do something healthy for yourself and at the same time know you are “contributing” to improving the quality of life of more people than you realize.  Thank you for that!

PLEASE  bring any non perishable food items (canned goods , etc ) for the Culpeper Food Closet…  Also bring a pair of old running shoes and these will be taken to our friends at the Virginia Runner for recycling.
