shawn_mini-torte_214 Eating well can change your life.  Only those committed to doing so would know . They experience first hand results -  and they are  around to help the rest of us eat our way to better health…  As an athlete nothing is more important to me than what I choose as my “fuel”.   I’ve come to know Shawn  in my class at Golds Gym.   She has been coming to  Body Combat  (an energetic kickbox workout to music)   for over   a year and half.   I try to pick her brain as much as possible in between quiet Katas and Zombie jump kicks -  Shawn isn’t only about “nutrition” , but a healthy lifestyle that embodies all things good in life .  She and fiance, Thadd, love hiking and you will find them on a trail hike just about every nice weekend in Virginia and  return with a handful of  fresh handpicked mushrooms  or something yummy and  abundantly available  along many Virginia wooded trails. …  who needs Bear Grylls  anymore!!??

From Michigan,  Shawn  relocated to Virginia to start the second branch of Renaissance Cuisine  where she apprenticed under Chef Channon Mondoux, an internationally renowned Chef.    Shawn is an advocate for buying fresh and LOCAL.   She offers Personal Chef Services  tailoring each on e to meet all kinds of client diet needs.  She  also has an appreciation  for many cultural dishes and shares alot in her BLOG .  So, here you have it, a Personal Chef specializing in nutrition,  focusing on local,  sustainable foods and and  an active political foodie and outdoor enthusiasts  – oh not to mention a FIERCE  ZOMBIE fighter :)  .  Visit her website for great recipes and resource links.  www.Shankie.net
