Culpeper Literacy Council (CLC)
is a non profit organization, funded by grants, donations, and fund raising events.

CLC serves to “promote, coordinate and facilitate planning and development of literacy services for adults 18 years of age or older in Culpeper County, Virginia”

They offer FREE group classes and individual tutoring to adults who want to learn to read.  the Culpeper Literacy Council  helps adults who want to improve basic reading skills, obtain a GED or learn English as a second language (ESOL).  El/Civic classes are offered that concentrate on the rights and responsibilities of citizenship, U.S. naturalization procedures, civic participation, US history and government , and life skills.

Volunteer tutors make up the workforce at CLC. There are also several part time staff members who perform and assume administrative, coordination, and instruction duties.
