Thank you all for participating in the   New Year 5k (make-up-run!)   It was kinda cold wasn’t it?   RESULTS AT BOTTOM!    (pics to come!)

I hoped through this event that all of us would have a new awareness of  three organizations in existence  that are making  a big difference or going to make  a difference in the  community.  They are already  impacting some of my friends and family.

1.  Culpeper Literacy Council
2. Bealeton Community Center project (headed by Soul Purpose Church)
3  Youth With A Mission

If you read further down, you will also notice this was an event with many caring community members passionate about the sport of running   and  its benefits.  They are not all runners. They gave their money,  their free time, their services for nothing, and products for nothing.  Some gave great discounts as well.   Please support each and everyone listed below at some time in the near future.   Let them know how much you appreciate their contribution and support!!

With the low race day turnout each organization will  have a little over  a hundred dollars after race expenses. (shirts, facility rental )  It’s all ok. You can still help though..  THere are  (25) remaining cool shirts designed by Culpeper resident, Michele White . We are selling them for only $10 if you would like one, if you want to give more, we won’t stop you !  They will disappear for sure.   Let me know if you want one!   We will add this into the total for each organization.   Thank you !!

Some suggestions came in  for next year
1. Maybe do a “no-frills” event (no tees…few door prizes)
2. Benefit one organization if any at all.
3. No race day fee and brunch afterwards :)
4. What do you think??
