Smiling athletes eagerly await the start
WOW, over 35 Culpeper residents will storm through Mountain Run Lake park in Culpeper, VA, Sunday Morning to compete in the 5th Annual Culpeper Sprint triathlon produced by Setup Events. The number of total athletes has exceeded 700, all charity slots have been sold out. This year there is only one event in Culpeper. Setup events dropped the sprint tri in June. This will be event # 12 of 21 events, halfway through the season all !!

Janette and Marcel
We are all sad to see Marcel and Janette leave Culpeper. They have been a tremendous asset to our area and will be dearly missed. Work calls overseas for Marcel and we wish them both the best of luck . Good thing Marcel’s job involves much traveling…expect to see this cute couple back in the “Old Dominion” many times..with a trail of local bikers drafting behind them :) I know I am going to polish up my skills so I can keep up with Janette one day……We usually …

This weekend at Burke Farm, in Rixeyville, Virginia promises to be exciting and action packed as CAMBO (Culpeper Area Mountain Bike Organization) hosts a 5k and some mountain bike events. The mountain bike event is part of the Fred Events series. Konrad Heller, the event organizer, will start mountain bikers at 10:00 a.m. So if you don’t have plans for the weekend, join us all at Burke Farm off of Dutch Hollow Road in Rixeyville.
