jp_roastherThe closing of  Cameron Street Coffee House allowed me to step into the role of owning and running my own coffee  business!   I was encouraged and supported by my former employer and friends, the Schluters.   I have never met or worked for a kinder family.   I continue to keep in touch with them as I carry on the legacy started at Cameron Street Coffee House .

As a roaster I am concerned about the welfare of the farmers who grow my coffee beans.   We are certified with Transfair USA to purchase, process and sell organic Fair Trade Coffees .   There is accountability here, tracking and lotsa paper work to keep us all honest. Recognize the label  so that you will be able to support the many other fair trade products out there  – ie: Chocolates, flowers, coffee, clothing , etc..

Purchasing through fair trade suppliers ensures that coffee purchased is done  fairly.  Roasters must pay more for these beans and in the end the families of these hard working communities are able to promote and work towards community development, health, education, and environmental stewardship.
